Favourite exercise: Deadlifts or goblet squats
School years- Swimming, soccer, water polo and touch footy
Post school- surf boat rowing, running and own gym and fitness work
Past year- Personal trainer and most recently THE CUBE GYM
What are your main goals and results you wish to achieve at the cube: I would like to improve my fitness levels and I am not a very good runner! I also want to improve on my strength work as I really enjoy strength work and training. I want to lose weight, increase lean muscle mass and also build confidence (we are all behind you Clauds you should be full of confidence!!!)
What is your favourite thing about training at the Cube: Great training, great people and great vibes! Doesn’t get much better than that, finding a gym where everyone is always pushing each other and always challenging you. Also achieving goals and finishing workouts you didn’t think you could.
What does your average daily diet consist of?
Breakfast- Oats with banana and berries or a green smoothie and piece of toast
Lunch- love a good tuna salad or chicken wrap
Dinner- usually chicken or fish with salad or roast veggies, stir frys or Wednesday is pasta night!!!
What other training or sports do you participate in outside of the Cube: When the season starts I row surfboats, so that is quite heavy training and takes up a lot of time, otherwise my own gym work when I am not at the cube
Do you think the training at the cube will help with these other interests? Definitely! I find we do lots of strength work which is a critical part of rowing boats, its all in the legs!
Any final comments or words of encouragement for anyone in our community thinking about giving the cube a go:
I would say JOIN UP! The atmosphere is always happy and inviting. The CUBE caters to all ages and fitness and strength levels, I think I am the youngest member and my dad is the oldest and even he goes alright, haha. When you walk in everyone is working hard, others are looking at the board at the days workout, getting excited/scared its just good to be there. It is also a lot of fun and there is always a laugh in every session! No matter what your fitness and strength levels, your sport or your age, The CUBE suits everyone with training goals and achievements in a fun and tough environment.
