A second event was held recently at our gym, with plenty of support from Team Cube. The challenge consisted of teams (3 guys and 3 guys) completing as many burpee chin-ups as possible in 60 minutes. We Won!!! We would love to thank 98 Riley St for coming over and partaking in such a great event that has brought many friendships and widened our sense of community.
The Cubes Hayden Quinn has been traveling to and from South Africa filming his new TV series and we wish him all the best on this and his adventures to come. Lewis (the boss) has completed his Exercise Physiology degree, with only a short stint in work placement he will be all done, Lewis has had a very busy schedule right throughout this whole year and we can't thank him enough for his unconditional devotion to our gym and our dream! We started up Yoga at The Cube and it is going well, Mel our yogi is doing a fantastic job, with years of experience she is bringing a new light and new flexibility to many of our members, we hope that all of our members and the public will come down and enjoy the yoga experience with us, Tuesdays at 6:30pm and Thursdays at 7:30pm. Mel has also been running a mums and bubs class which is going well, 8 mums and their little ones flood the gym each week to enjoy some yoga and meditation, all mums and their bubs are welcome so tell your friends!!! We have a new class on Saturday mornings which is full of young catholic Priests in training, These guys are the nicest most humble people we have ever met and they are absolutely loving their special Saturday morning class run by Lewis.
There has been a lot happening down at The Cube, both on and off the field however one thing stands true as the day we started in the backyard 4 years ago, the training has been tough, really tough. Hi 5's have been flying, sweat has been dripping and body fat percentages have been dropping. Keep it up everyone, There is plenty to look forward to throughout the rest of the year including our Christmas party which we have joined forces with The Collaroy (the old Surf Rock) to come up with what will most definitely be an unforgettable night.
Remember, Train your arse off but make sure you are having fun whilst doing it.
