Tribal Clash is a two-day competition for teams of 6 athletes, 3 men + 3 women. The teams race in multiple challenging events during the weekend, which are kept secret until the eve of the competition: the teams have to prepare and train for the unknown and prepare to be taken out of their comfort zone. The events in the past have included shifting, climbing, lifting, running, swimming, hauling, pulling, carrying and throwing. We design, source and manufacture all the equipment in-house; there are no barbells, Concept 2 rowers, ski ergs or assault bikes at Tribal Clash.
The idea is around mental health. Pushing 7pm to 7am ‘through the dark’ represents the darkness of depression and poor mental health. If you continue to push on, supported by the people close to you, you can get to the light at the end.
A mental test to keep a sled moving for 12-hours through the night.
20th March 7pm to 7am
The Cube Gym
There will be 4 sleds with the below options:
Sleds #1 and #2 - Full 12 hours - 2 guys/Girls relay with 100(guys)/80(girls)kg sled (2 sleds, first in gets it)
Sleds #3 and #4 - Partners 1 hr time slots - Sled Relay (1 push 1 walk and swap for 60 min). You can pick your weight, but we suggest 100kg for guys and 80kg for girls.
*weight includes the sled of 50kg. So for 100kg, you would need to add 50kg to the sled.
Gotcha4Life want to get as many Northern Beaches gyms to run their own push with their gym communities on the same night so there will be other gyms participating.
